Letter sent to CNN Regarding Approval Meter Color Issues

Dear CNN,

I am writing to inform you that your "approval meter" during the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Debates is not colorblind-friendly, meaning that colorblind people cannot distinguish the "men" from the "women" line. Approximately 8% of males, and 1 in 200 females, are colorblind; therefore, by electing to have a non-colorblind-friendly graph, you are alienating a sizable portion of your viewers - in America, a number of people greater than the population of Illinois will be unable to read your meter.

Not to worry, this problem can easily be fixed. You can choose two distinguishable colors, such as blue and green or blue and red.
